The writer owns the copyright until the contest ends, the winner is chosen, and the prize money is paid out. After payment of the writer, both the contest holder and the writer agree to the terms of copyright transfer as laid out in the terms of use in clause 5.
Writers retain the copyright of all of their entries that have not been awarded and that have not been paid for.
The minimum prize is $10 but remember that you get what you pay for. The more you make your contest for the more interest you will acquire from top writers.
We take copyright violations very seriously. If someone is using one of your entries that you did not get paid for, please let us know as soon as possible through the contact form. Please link to the original contest and give us your username.
We will do our best to help ensure that the offending party will cease using your entry.
